ScamHunter does not require an account. There is no profile, login, or server-side copy of your check history — it is stored only on your device, and content you check is processed transiently to produce the verdict.
Delete the data stored on your device
- Open ScamHunter.
- Go to Settings (bottom-right tab).
- Tap Delete history and confirm — this permanently removes all saved checks.
- To remove everything including your preferences, simply uninstall the app.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Email-forwarding addresses
If you use a personal forwarding address (e.g. u_xxxx@scan.scamhunter.app) to have suspicious emails analyzed, you can have the address deactivated and any associated processing records removed by emailing us (see below).
Request server-side deletion
Our servers keep only short-lived technical logs (deleted automatically within 30 days) and anonymous purchase entitlements. If you would like us to verify and erase anything attributable to you, email:
support@scamhunter.app — subject "Data deletion request"
We will confirm completion within 30 days. We may need to keep records that the law requires us to retain (e.g. purchase records for tax purposes).
Subscriptions
Deleting the app or your data does not cancel an active subscription — subscriptions are managed by Apple/Google. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
